Young Children Program
PARISH RELIGIOUS FORMATION
The
Parish Religion Program (PRP) is for children in
grades 1-8, with two options available.
-
Summer PRP is a condensed, more
intense experience of catechesis, with students participating in two week
sessions in the summer. Each session begins
and ends with prayer, led by a classroom group of children. The Summer PRP
families make a commitment to attend formation follow-up opportunities,
offered throughout the school year. This year we are adding an
evening session, thereby offering three sessions as follows:
Summer I: June 9-20 (Monday-Friday), 9:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m. each day
Summer II: June 9-20 (Monday-Friday), 5:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m. each
evening
Summer III: July21 - August 1 (Monday-Friday), 9:00 a.m.-1:30
p.m. each day
-
Winter PRP parallels
closely the academic calendar, beginning in September and ending in
late May. The students meet with catechists on Sunday mornings
for one and one-half hours each time. This program provides a
rich classroom experience throughout the year.
Sunday PRP: September 14-May 17 (Sundays), 9:45 a.m.-11:15
a.m.
The Young Children Program
(YC) is a pre-school program for age 3 to kindergarten that provides
the opportunity to attend a Sunday program (during 9:30 and 11:30
Masses), with two options available.
Young Children Session I: September 14-May 17, 9:15-10:30 a.m.
Young children Session II: September 14-May 17, 11:15 a.m.-12:30
p.m.
(or until Mass ends)
