Be a Project Education for Batahola 2010 Student Sponsor!
Project Education for Batahola 2010 is underway. You can sponsor a student from October 18 until January 2, 2011 for as little as $85. Just download the Sponsorship Form and return it to the parish office or put it in the collection basket on Sunday. Brochures with sponsorship forms are also available in the parish office and in the church lobby.

Six Reasons to Consider Sponsoring a Student this Year:
- It is a student sponsorship program for students attending classes or receiving scholarships at IHM’s twinning community, the Cultural Center of Batahola Norte, in Managua, Nicaragua. It is a helping hand up to self-sufficiency, not a hand out.
- The Center offers 24 classes to students of all ages, including computer literacy, basic adult education, accounting and cashiering, sewing, tailoring, cooking and baking, and art and music. The technical and skill-building classes lead to job opportunities.
- The Center helps educate more than 1,100 students, and enrollment continues to grow… thanks to IHM’s Project Education sponsors. Your sponsorship will make an important difference in the life of your student!
- Since Project Education began six years ago, IHM parishioners have sponsored over 700 students taking classes at the Center and funded more than 400 scholarships for grade school, high school, and college students. Because of IHM sponsors, the Center remains an oasis of hope for every student with a sponsor.
- IHM sponsors make learning possible for hundreds of students who would otherwise have little or no opportunity for education.
- Project Education transforms lives and gives students the opportunity to break through the poverty they endure daily.
