Designation of Profits Earned from IHM Shop$mart Program

• Debt Reduction - A majority of the profits earned through all aspects of the Shop$mart program (gift cards, Kroger Neighborhood Reward card and Meijer Community Reward card) are used to help reduce the parish debt. For the 2007-2008 fiscal year, $70,000.00 of the Shop$mart profits were given to reduce the parish debt.
• Other Ministry Areas - Parishioners can designate a portion of their earned Shop$mart profits to benefit one of the following ministries: Pastoral Care, Church Art and Environment,Youth Ministry or Tuition Assistance Endowment. Parishioners who wish to help one of these ministries through the Shop$mart program must complete a 'Shop$mart Earnings Designation Form'. Forms can be obtained from a Shop$mart volunteer after any weekend mass in the Fatima Room in church where Shop$mart gift certificates are sold.

This area could be used for family assignment to whichever ministry they would like.
